1970 Plymouth GTX Hardtop
Historic Overview:
A rather clearer facelift was made for 1970 which feature brand-new front and rear bumpers, front grille, headlights, and a power bulge hood with non-functional brake scoops, which could also be fitted with an optional functional Air-Grabber scoop (standard with Hemi engine).
The Air-Grabber scoop had a single flap which allowed it to be raised or lowered from inside the car and had a shark decal on it. The convertible bodywork was sadly no longer available, on the other hand a range of performance packs was available.
And much to fans frustation, GTX sales dropped by the half and out of the 7,748 cars sold, 768 were ordered with the 440-6 engine and just 72 with the Hemi engine.
