Mateusz portrays 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne (2003r.)

Oglądałem ten wóz jesienią 2002 roku pod Warszawą. Historia tego samochodu jest bardzo ciekawa.

  Samochód został kupiony w 1962 roku u dilera przez amerykańskich Rosjan i następnie podarowany rodzinie w Związku Radzieckim. W latach 70-tych Rosjanie wybrali się tym samochodem na wycieczkę krajoznawczą po Polsce. W trakcie wycieczki samochód się zepsuł i tu został.

  Biscayne stał zapomniany w baraku przez prawie dwadzieścia lat. W połowie lat 90-tych odkupiony przez polskiego właściciela przeszedł kurację odmładzającą: usunięcie porów rdzy, peeling i makijaż karoserii oraz "ujędrnienie" tapicerki. Obecnie wóz jest w dobrych rękach.

I saw the car in the Fall of 2002 near the capital city of Warsaw. The car has a very interesting story to tell.

  It was originally purchased in 1962 from a US car dealer by Americans of Russian descent and it was subsequently presented to their family back in the Soviet Union. In 1970's the Russians owners made a trip to the neighboring Poland in that car. During the trip, the car broke down and was left to stay in Poland.

  Biscayne was parked in an old barn and left in deep oblivion for almost twenty years. It was spotted and sold in mid 1990's. The car was carefully restored: rust was removed, the body was refinished and painted, the upholstery was mended, the mechanics fixed. The Chevy is in really good hands now.
