In 1959, LIFE photographer Fritz Goro was comissed into a trip inside the Chevrolet assembly line in Tarrytown, New York, where all the full-size models and some trucks were manufactured. Most of the pictures were obviously never published and remained lying on LIFE vaults until very recently when they were finally available for everybody. An amazing tour inside a late 50s car factory fortunatly captured for posteriority!
