Muzeum szczyci się tym, że jest najstarszą kolekcją samochodów w USA. Budynek muzeum to ogromna powozownia zbudowana w 1888 na terenie pięknego parku, z czasem całkowicie opanowana przez powozy bez koni. W 2009 roku była to wystawa zatytułowana "Style and Innovation of the American Automobile".
Muzeum organizuje w sezonie "trawnikowe" spotkania entuzjastów danej marki lub po prostu "dzień włoski" czy też np. "dzień niemiecki". Jeśli komuś się wydaje, że takie spotkania są w całości opanowane przez klikę bogatych dziadków, którzy uznają tylko bardzo drogie, bardzo stare i w 100% oryginalne samochody to jest w grubym błędzie. Brookline is a very close suburbs of Boston, MA. If it happens that you live in Brookline, you were most likely successful in your life, at least in financial terms. Larz Anderson (1866-1937) for sure was very successful.
Museum is proud to be home to “America’s oldest car collection.” Museum is located in a huge carriage house built in 1888 in a beautiful park, with time completely dominated by horseless carriages. The lower level houses a permanent exhibition of the oldest automobiles in Andersons collection and... not only automobiles, the upper level is a place for temporary exhibitions. In 2009 it was an exhibition entitled "Style and Innovation of the American Automobile."
During the season museum organizes “lawn events” for the enthusiasts of the certain brand like Cadillac or simply "Italian Day" or "German Day". If anyone thinks that such meetings are entirely dominated by rich, old men with their very expensive, very old and 100% original cars, they are very wrong.
