Frank Hershey (1907 – 1997) was an American automobile designer. Hershey is best known for his 1932 Peerless V-16 prototype, 1949 Cadillac tailfins and the 1955 Ford Thunderbird.

      Hershey began his career at Murphy Coach Works of Pasadena, California. From Murphy, Hershey went to work for GM where he focused on the 1933 Pontiac; in designing the 1935 Pontiac, Hershey introduced the silver streak design theme that the make would continue until 1956.

     After leaving GM, Hershey set up his own design firm.

     After several years with Packard, Hershey went to Ford where he designed the 1953-1957 full sized Fords. Hershey designed the landmark Ford Thunderbird.

     After leaving Ford, Hershey also worked for Kaiser Aluminum and Rite Autotronics.

Hershey jest najbardziej znany z zaprojektowania prototypu Peerless X-D V-16 z 1932 roku, a także ogonów Cadillaca 1949 i Ford Thunderbirda 1955.

    Hershey rozpoczął swoją drogę zawodową w firmie Murphy Coach z siedzibą w Pasadenie w Kalifornii. Następnie przeszedł do GM, gdzie uczestniczył w projektowaniu nowych modeli Pontiaka na 1933 rok. Wtedy to właśnie Hershey wymyślił srebrne pasy na masce, będące aż do 1956 roku znaczkiem firmowym Pontiaka.

     Po odejściu z GM, założył swoją firmę designerską. Po kilku latach współpracy z Packardem, Hershey przeszedł następnie do koncernu Forda, gdzie zaprojektował wszystkie modele full-size Forda. Autorstwa Hersheya jest także logo Thunderbirda na 1955 rok.

     Po odejściu z Forda, Hershey pracował następnie dla firm Kaiser Aluminum i Rite Autotronics.
