Na DeSoto58 znalazłem go pod dwoma linkami, w obu przypadkach to jest ten sam samochód. Jest on teraz w moich rękach i jest w trakcie ożywiania. Na pierwszy rzut oka wygląda kiepsko, ale zachował się w naprawdę dobrym stanie.
Jest to wersja europejska, składana w Belgii, sześcioosobowy, czterodrzwiowy sedan. Podłoga i mechanika stan świetny, tapicerki trochę zniszczone, ale za to jest praktycznie kompletny, jako ciekawostka licznik w kilometrach :).
Pod maską prosta szóstka 216cid (3,5l), skrzynia biegów manualna 3 biegi przy kierownicy.
Jeśli chodzi o historię, z tego co udało mi się ustalić to dawniej w Krakowie jeździł nim jakiś duchowny. W latach 80 został wstawiony do stodoły i zapomniany. Kilka lat temu ktoś kupił działkę na której stała ta stodoła i w środku znalazł miłą niespodziankę. W roku 2014 kupiłem go ja i zaczynam przebudowę.
Kuba presents his 1951 Chevrolet De Luxe Recently I bought a 1951 Chevrolet De Luxe, and of course I found her on the site. As usual, I prepared a description of my ride with a few pictures :)
On DeSoto58 I found my ride below two links (in different places).
The ride is in my garage now, so I started the renovation. maybe she looks very poorly but she is really good preserved.
It is an European version, assembled in Antwerp, Belgium. The body is a four door sedan. Inside there is place for six persons.
The chassis and mechanics are in good condition. The upholstery is complete and unfortunately a bit deteriorated. You have to notice a curiosity: the odometer is scaled in kilometers :)
Below the hood you find a simple slant engine 216 cid (3,5 l) and a 3-speed mamnual gear box.
If the matter is about the car story, a clergyman from Cracow used her in the past. In the Eighties the ride was parked in a barn and then forgotten.
Some years ago someone bought a lot with this barn. After the transaction the owner found a nice surprise in this barn. In 2014 I bought her and I am going to start the renovation now.
