Lee Marvin was an American film and television actor. In the late Sixties he won several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actor and the Best Actor Golden Globe. In 1968 Marvin ordered a newly available 1968 Shelby G.T. 500 KR convertible. The car was equipped with every available option. Marvin drove his drop-top Shelby for four years, then actor passed the keys to his gardener. Unfortunately the gardener was a bit less passionate about the car than his boss. Due of the price of gas and assurance rates for muscle cars forced the next owner to keep the car in his garage. The car was found again in the late Eighties. The car was fully restored. A few years ago the car came to an Scottsdale auction. All the pictures belong to Hemmings :)
Lee Marvin był amerykańskim aktorem filnowym i telewizyjnym. Pod koniec lat 60-tych zdoibył kilka nagród, w tym Oscara za najlepszego aktora i Złoty Glob, również za najlepszego aktora. W 1968 roku Marvin zamówił Shelby'ego z nadwoziem kabriolet w wersji G.T. 500 KR. Samochód był wyposazony w każdą dostepną opcję. Aktor jeździł samochodem przez cztery lata, następnie podarował go swojemu ogrodnikowi. Ten jednak nie podzielał zbytnio pasji poprzedniego właściciela. Z powodu szalejących cen benzyny i stawek ubezpieczeniowych za muscle cary samochód stał głównie w garażu. Odnaleziony pod koniec lat 80-tych samochód przeszedł pełną renowację i trafił później na aukcję w Scottsdale. Wszystkie zdjęcia należą do Hemmingsa :)
