Jest to oryginalny Zippo Car, który reklamował firmę Zippo. Samochód można było zobaczyć na paradach i wystawach pod koniec lat 40-tych i na początku lat 50-tych. W latach 60-tych XX wieku firma zostawiła samochód do naprawy na zapleczu miejscowego dliera w mieście Pittsburgh w stanie Pensylwania. Później diler zlikwidowal działalność, zaś samochód zaginął bez wieści. Dlatego w latach 90-tych firma Zippo zleciła wykonanie repliki samochodu.

   It is the original Zippo Car, ordered a custom car ordered by famous lighter manufacturer, Zippo Company to promote their product. The car was seen on parades and fairs in the late 1940s and early 1950s. In the Sixties the car was left at dealership in Pittsburgh, PA for reconstruction. After that dealeship went out of business and Zippo car was never seen again. That was why the Zippo company ordered a replica of the car in the 1990s.
